Okanagan Trip 2009

We set out cherry picking this year at the Okanagan, but it turns our that the bed and breakfast we stayed at had cherry trees so we ended up picking cherries there instead. They were fully riped and juicy.

Trevor did most of the picking since he's taller and was able to get to the higher branches. I think we might have picked over 5 pounds of cherries. Check out that bag of cherries.

This is the bed and breakfast we stayed at, it's awesome!! I would totally go back again next year. Its called above the beach bed and breakfast. There is the view of the lake, a balcony...

Claw foot tube.... Heaven just heaven

Since we got the cherry picking out of the way, we were able to spend more time touring some of the wineries. Considering I'm allegic to alcohol, I have to say, I did pretty well since I didn't break out once and that goes to show that the stuff that they make out at the Okanagan are at least preservative free...

First stop was Quail's Gate. I've heard so much about their restaurant, wine and scenery I had to go check it out, plus Trevor's been there before on a business trip, I have to say it was all he said it was and more!
Then we head off to Mission Hills, we had to go check it out since its one of the oldest wineries in the Okanagan, the landscape was impressive, lots of grape vines, a lovely restaurant and great wine tasting there.

I didn't take too may pictures of the other vineyards since we're too busy wine tasting lol... so all these pictures on the blog were from Mission Hills winery
